LARC! Sandboarding Safari

If it’s “fun in the sun” you’re after then this is the adventure for you!

At 1770 board the LARC, the ultimate 4WD beach buggy! Your destination for the day is Middle Island, a sand island within Bustard Bay, and the only way to get there is onboard this big PINK boat with wheels.

Travelling to this island of towering sand dunes, the LARC must first cross 3 creeks & travel along sandy beaches of Eurimbula National Park. Imagine being on a beach with no other footprints … just the tyre tracks of the LARC which will be erased again with the incoming tide. Along the way the tour guide draws your attention to the mob of kangaroos grazing on grass just off the beach and the dolphins playing off shore. On arrival at Middle Island you will be greeted with the sight of 30 meter high dunes, dropping straight into the water.

Climb the dune; take a moment to be mesmerized by the views across land & sea, then hold on to your board for an exhilarating zoom down the sand hill! If you you’re going fast enough, you’ll zoom out into the water!

The LARC! Sandboarding Safari includes:

  • LARCing fun
  • Picnic lunch & cold drinks
  • Sandboarding down towering dunes
  • Swimming & Beachcombing
  • Chance to sight kangaroos, dolphins & sea birds
  • National Park fees
