GROUP TOUR OPTIONS

Shortened Tour to Bustard Head Lightstation: 9am – 3pm

This day tour is an amphibious adventure, travelling along the coastline of Eurimbula National Park while experiencing an informative commentary on abundant wildlife and history of Bustard Bay - crossing four tidal creeks, before four wheel driving up the steep climb to the historic Bustard Head Lightstation.

This award-winning tour includes:

  • Morning tea
  • Breath-taking scenery and panoramic views
  • Interpretive tour through the head light-keeper’s cottage
  • Guided walk to the light-station graveyard
  • Picnic lunch with billy tea, coffee and LARC juice
  • Australian wildlife
  • Historical and environmental commentary

This tour is popular with coach parties travelling from other towns, allowing more time to get to 1770 Marina, and allowing plenty of time in the afternoon to travel to a new evening destination, if required. The absence of sandboarding often suits groups of seniors.

One Hour Joyride: 10.30am – 11.30am

The one hour tour crosses Round Hill Creek and travels along the coastline of Eurimbula National Park, where guests will be enthralled with the rugged natural beauty of our coastline and stories of Lieutenant James Cook’s discovery in the year 1770 on board the barque Endeavour.

Bring your group for a day on the Discovery Coast, with a scenic drive to the 1770 headland, a LARC Joyride and then lunch at one of the local restaurants.

The Joyride tour time can be altered to suit your groups needs & time schedule.

Half day Sandboarding Safari

Great fun tour for the younger (or young at heart) market.  This tour drives along the deserted sandy beaches of Bustard Bay, crossing three pristine waterways to Middle Island, with its towering sand dunes.  We supply transport, sand boards, cold drinks and fresh fruit, BYO swimmers, towels and a sense of adventure!  In summer, this safari is best to be timed around high tide, so guests can zoom down the dunes and out into the warm waters of Jenny Lind Creek.

A minimum time of 5 hours is required for this tour.

Educational Tours especially for School Groups

All of our tours here at 1770 LARC! Tours can be altered to suit the school group’s study needs.

Hourly & Daily LARC! Hire

Our LARC is available for private charter hire.

You can hire it by the hour (2 hours is the minimum charter hire time) or hire it for the whole day to take you & your group on a personalised tour.
